1. Platform Role

Helpino is a platform that connects Service Seekers with independent Service Providers/Handymen.

Helpino:

  • Does not directly provide services unless explicitly stated.
  • Facilitates communication, booking, and payment processing between users.
  • Is not responsible for the actual execution of services provided by independent providers.

Refund decisions may depend on the circumstances of each booking and dispute.

 

2. Service Cancellation by Service Seeker

A. Before Provider Acceptance

Service Seekers may cancel a booking request before the Service Provider accepts it without penalty.

 

B. After Provider Acceptance

If a booking is cancelled after provider acceptance:

  • Cancellation charges may apply.
  • Platform fees or convenience charges may be non-refundable.
  • Refund eligibility depends on:
    • Time of cancellation
    • Provider preparation or travel status
    • Nature of the booked service

 

C. During or After Service Completion

Refunds are generally not provided once:

  • The service has been fully completed, or
  • The Service Seeker confirms satisfactory completion.

Exceptions may apply in verified cases involving:

  • Fraud
  • Duplicate payment
  • Major service non-delivery
  • Serious misconduct

 

3. Service Cancellation by Service Provider

If a Service Provider cancels:

  • The Service Seeker may receive a full or partial refund depending on payment status.
  • Helpino may take action against providers with repeated cancellations or misconduct.

Helpino is not liable for additional losses caused by provider cancellations.

 

4. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered in situations including:

  • Failed transactions
  • Duplicate payments
  • Provider no-show
  • Service not delivered
  • Verified fraudulent activity
  • Technical billing errors

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

 

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may not be provided for:

  • Change of mind after service completion
  • Minor dissatisfaction or preference differences
  • Delays caused by circumstances beyond control
  • Incorrect booking details provided by users
  • Failure to communicate or cooperate during service delivery
  • Platform/service convenience fees where applicable

 

6. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds may take:

  • 5 to 15 business days
    depending on:
  • Payment method
  • Banking institution
  • Payment gateway processing timelines

Refunds are generally issued to the original payment method.

 

7. Payment Disputes

Users are encouraged to first attempt resolution directly with the other party.

If unresolved, users may contact Helpino support with:

  • Booking details
  • Payment proof
  • Screenshots or evidence
  • Description of the issue

Helpino may review disputes but does not guarantee outcomes in user-to-user conflicts.

 

8. Fraudulent or Abusive Claims

Helpino reserves the right to:

  • Reject suspicious refund claims
  • Suspend accounts involved in abuse or fraud
  • Recover refunded amounts obtained through misuse or false claims

Legal action may be taken where necessary.

 

9. Rescheduling

Some services may allow rescheduling instead of cancellation.

Rescheduling availability depends on:

  • Provider availability
  • Service category
  • Timing of request

Additional charges may apply.

 

10. Cash Payments

For cash payments made directly to Service Providers:

  • Helpino may have limited ability to process refunds.
  • Users are advised to maintain receipts or proof of payment.

 

11. Changes to This Policy

Helpino may modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time.

Updated versions will be published on the platform with revised effective dates.

Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
